Easy DIY Adjustable Bracelet with Waxed Cotton Cord

I created this bracelet using assorted beads I purchased long ago and recently rediscovered in a box. The wooden beads came from a small independent shop that no longer exists — so while I can’t share exact supplies, I hope this inspires you to use what you already have or find your own unique mix. Handmade from the heart using wood and acrylic beads. 

Supplies:

• Red wooden beads (6x9mm)
• Wooden bead mix
• 1mm Black waxed cotton cord - https://amzn.to/3RBSuM5
• Clear nail polish (Optional)
• Scissors

Creating Adjustable Cord Bracelet

​Instructions:

1. Cut 2 x 16-inch waxed cotton cords (1mm).
2. Thread both cords through the acrylic bead (1 inch). Center the bead at the midpoint of the cords.
3. Tie a knot on each side to secure it.
4. On one side, thread a red wooden bead onto one cord.
5. Wrap the other cord around the bead. Tie both cords together above the bead.
6. Thread a mix of round and 5x8mm wooden beads onto one cord. Wrap the other cord around the beads.
7. Tie both cords together above the bead.
8. Repeat on the opposite side.
9. Thread one cord ends through a wooden bead.
10. Thread the other cords through the bead in the opposite direction.
11. Adjust cords to even lengths. Trim any excess cords.Tie a knot at each cord end.
12. Seal cord ends with clear nail polish. (Optional)
